About Dr. Melissa Mags...
Dr. Melissa Maglaque is San Francisco’s leading Physical Therapist who helps active adults, athletes and children return to the workouts and sports they love without medication, injections or surgery.
She founded MAG Physical Therapy, Pilates & Wellness because she wanted to be able to provide more one-on-one time with her clients and assist them in finding the root cause of their pain and limitations without the restrictions of insurance companies. As a dually licensed physical therapist and pilates instructor in the states of California and New Jersey, Melissa utilizes a specialized skill set to uniquely address each of her client’s problems and create a customized plan of care to successfully get them back to doing the things they love. Dr. Maglaque grew up as an athlete and rehabilitated from a knee surgery at a young age, which immediately sparked her interest in physical therapy and began her career in injury rehabilitation and prevention. She has 11+ years of experience treating a diverse population of clients who participate in a variety of sports and activities. Since moving to San Francisco in 2013, Melissa found pilates to be the perfect compliment to musculoskeletal healing and recovery. By implementing manual therapy, functional exercise and pilates-based principles, she ensures that her clients reach their ultimate goals. Melissa enjoys continually learning new treatment methods and incorporating evidence-based interventions into her practice; therefore, facilitating her clients to achieve optimal health and wellness. Dr. Maglaque graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and BS in Exercise Science from Rutgers University. She is a certified Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and Pilates Instructor. |
